A brief, sweet memory from a life time of memories by sister Di or lady Di as Marla would call me.
I had a painting party at my house. We celebrated along the way, listening to music, laughing, toasting, eating. We mixed different color paints. We rolled and brushed our canvas, the walls, and before we knew it, the unfinished wood bookcase, matched the walls, we laughed! We were up till the early morning hours of the next day, mission accomplished! The rooms in the house were freshly painted and the house looked bright and sunny.
Sister Debra joined us and mother, Sarah, visited too. It was a family affair. Marla loved to paint and so we collectively did. This remains one of many precious and fond memories of fun, quality time spent with my loving, kind and generous sister Marla, whom I at times called Miz Merla.
In loving memory of my beloved sister who is and always will be alive in my heart.
Sister Di
I remember she called you the bronze goddess and how she was in awe of your beauty. So many good memories, remember you tried to teach me salsa dancing when we first met. Unbelievable it was 40 years ago.
She truly loved to paint 😎
